Motiverande ledarskap (7,5 hp)

Vill du utveckla ditt ledarskap och samtidigt bli mer effektiv i din kommunikation? KI erbjuder nu utbildningen Motiverande ledarskap på 7,5 högskolepoäng. Kursen har fokus på ledarskap som identifierar och förstärker de beteenden inom en organisation som bidrar till verksamhetens mål. Då kommunikation är en central del i allt ledarskap ger kursen även praktisk träning i hur man genom kommunikation kan väcka medarbetarnas motivation. Om kursen Chefer och ledare har ett särskilt ansvar för att leda och utveckla organisationer, team och individer. Motiverande ledarskap (ML) baseras på den beteendeanalytiska organisationsteorin Organizational Behavior Management (OBM) och samtalsmetoden Motiverande samtal (MI). OBM bygger på forskning om vad som påverkar människors beteenden. MI är en samtalsmetod som syftar till att skapa motivation för att underlätta förändringsprocesser. Tillsammans ger metoderna chefer och ledare verktyg för att kunna styra och motivera sina medarbetares beteenden med direkt påverkan på organisationens prestationer och resultat. Syfte Kursen ger grundläggande kunskap och träning i att tillämpa ett motiverande ledarskap, med fokus på att initiera, facilitera och utvärdera utveckling och förändring utifrån teorierna MI och OBM. Ur kursinnehållet Kursen ger dig kunskaper och träning i hur du: Identifierar och utvecklar förändringsbara nyckelbeteenden inom den egna organisationen Planerar och genomför en organisatorisk förändringsprocess utifrån OBM Informerar och kommunicerar på ett effektivt och anpassat sätt utifrån MI Ger och tar emot lärande feedback Genomför utvecklingssamtal och krävande samtal, enskilt och i grupp Reflekterar över etiska frågor kopplat till ledarskap och motivation/beteendeförändring

Plan for Project Success: Project Planning and Management

You as a project manager are the one who can decide whether a project succeeds or not. In this course we explore different perspectives how to plan for project success. Leading projects is about delivering results within the set time and according to given resources. It is also about being responsive, flexible and being able to handle change. This course gives you basic knowledge to plan and organize successful projects, specifically in the hospitality industry. What is and how to succeed with projects?You will be introduced to concepts and principles behind project management and learn to create a plan that works for small and large projects. Project plans are a common and effective way to organize work, no matter what your job is. When you work on a project, it is about meeting the goals on time and according to budget. Affärsmodeller i en tid av transformation

Målet med den här kursen är att ge dig som deltagare ökad kunskap om och förståelse för hur affärsmodeller kan användas för att analysera problem och utmaningar med fokus på värdeskapande i företag och andra organisationer. Kunskap som kan användas för att utveckla verksamheter, få ökad lönsamhet och stärkt konkurrenskraft.  I den här kursen får du lära dig mer om affärsmodeller och du kan använda affärsmodeller för att skapa värde för dina kunder. Kursen består av följande moduler: 1) Affärsmodeller – vad är det? 2) Affärsmodeller och innovationer, och 3) Hållbara affärsmodeller. Kursen behandlar begrepp, teorier och modeller med fokus på värdeskapande och med koppling till digitalisering, innovationer och hållbarhet. Konkreta vertyg och utmaningar med koppling till området kommer att presenteras.  Efter genomgången kurs kommer deltagarna ha en tydligare förståelse för hur den egna organisationen affärsmodeller kan stärkas och utvecklas. GENOMFÖRANDEKursen är uppbyggd av moduler där du tar del av forskningsartiklar och filmer samt deltar i föreläsningar och diskussionsseminarier. Kursen förutsätter självständigt arbete, textinläsning samt aktivt och reflekterande deltagande. En central del i kursen är att deltagarna tillämpar teorier, begrepp och modeller på egna problem och delar erfarenheter med varandra. Diskussionsinnehållet i kursen bestäms delvis av deltagarna och utgår från deras erfarenheter, frågor och utmaningar i sitt arbete.  Kursen är på avancerad nivå och ger 5 högskolepoäng. Den riktar sig till dig som är yrkesverksam och ges på deltid så att studier och arbete kan kombineras. Undervisningen sker på svenska och engelska och genomförs på distans via Canvas som är Karlstads universitets lärplattform. MÅLGRUPPDet här är en kurs för dig som är yrkesverksam och som vill öka sina kunskaper om affärsmodeller. Den passar exempelvis dig som är verksam i ledningsgrupp och i din roll som chef, projektledare, försäljare, produktionschefer, marknads- och kundansvarig samt medarbetare inom produkt- och tjänsteutveckling. Lean Leadership - KTH Leancentrum

This course is taught in Swedish. The course alternates theory and practical exercises, based on the lecturers' experiences and the latest international research on lean, leadership and lean/agile leadership. A lot of focus is put on creating space for training and own reflection on these issues. Are you ready for the leadership of the future? How can you as a leader develop your ability to lead change and sustainable development? Leadership is crucial for an organisation's lean journey. What distinguishes lean leadership from other leadership? The course is based on four main themes: Developing and clarifying your operational leadership Coaching and developing employees Leading organisational change Working with vision and goals for long-term development Course objectives On completion of the mission training you should be able to: discuss and reason about models of Lean leadership related to leadership conditions and sustainability and how this affects your own leadership, analyse and evaluate where your own business/department is from a lean leadership perspective, explain the methods applied in lean leadership, suggest those that are appropriate for your own business/department's improvement work and use them, formulate a vision based on lean principles and concretise it in an action plan for the business. Course outline The course consists of 10 days, spread over 5 sessions. These include lectures, seminars, group discussions, study visits and practical exercises, including analysis of both your own leadership and your own business. You will receive homework assignments between the course sessions in order to deepen your knowledge of lean leadership. The assignments are based on your own and your organisation's work with leadership development. The course is conducted by KTH Leancentrum in Södertälje. The lecturers are researchers and practitioners from e.g. AstraZeneca, KTH, N4 and Saab Aeronautics. You will learn among other things: Lean, leadership and lean management How an organization can work to implement lean in a sustainable way Leadership and lean in relation to impacts, such as quality and health Leadership conditions Target group People in management positions (managers and improvement leaders), in both the private and public sectors, who have started their lean work. Sustainable leadership with lean - KTH Leancentrum

This course is taught in Swedish. How are you a good leader in times of rapid change? And what can good leadership contribute? In this web-based course you will have the opportunity to work on these questions, discuss them and be inspired. What will you know after the course and what difference can the knowledge make to your organisation? Understand and reason about Lean leadership models Describe how leadership, improvement and sustainability interact and influence the success of organisations and leaders Translate models and methods to your own situation and business, and be able to concretise these in an action plan Course outline The course is web-based (Zoom) and we meet 12 times of 2 hours each. The examination is 3 hours. The lecturers are both researchers and practitioners, partly from KTH and partly from the private sector. We think that dialogue is important during both lectures and group work. The meetings normally also include a presentation of the assignment from the previous session. Great importance is attached to dialogue during both lectures and group work, including those linked to homework assignments. The book LedarStegen by Bengt Savén (ISBN: 9789187817434) is used to link theory parts and exercises. Course literature is paid for by the participant. The course is examined with a diploma through a report and oral presentation. Attendance is required for at least 9 out of 12 sessions. Maximum number of participants is 20. Target group Those in a managerial position (managers, project and improvement leaders), in both the private and public sectors. Agile methods for digitalized industry

Industry leaders can greatly benefit from learning about agile working methods as it can contribute to increased productivity, customer focus, flexibility, engaged employees and innovativeness. By using agile working methods, an organization can become more efficient and adaptable, which can increase its success in the market. Target groupThe course is aimed at people in a management function (managers, middle managers, team leaders, project managers, etc.) mainly in industry who are interested in learning more about agile working methods. ContentTraditional organizations tend to get clogged over time and inefficient. To mitigate this there is a need for agile organization that rely less on legacy structures and processes and much more on updating and optimizing processes to facilitate better work. In this manner agile organizations become responsive and adaptable to the changes accruing around them.  For achieving the agile transition organizations need agile methods.  This course is targeted for managers within the digitalized industry sector. The course covers the following areas: Foundations of agile methods. Case studies of practical examples of agile adoption in industrial settings. What industry managers should know about agile approach. Assessment methods of agile readiness of the digitalized industrial organization. Strategic thinking and roadmap development for agile transition. The goal of the course is that the participants should be able to: Describe and understand the core principles of agile methods. Understand the possibilities, challenges, and issues while adopting agile methods in industrial organizations. Identify the areas with the digitalized industry sector where agile approaches can be utilized and how can be adopted. Assess and develop a strategy and roadmap for implementing agile ways of working in the digitalized industry. The course is offered in collaboration with Combitech through Stefan Aleborg who has long experience of working with agile methods in different type of organizations. Practical informationThe course is primarily based on the flipped classroom approach with three on-site workshops. Materials will be provided in a form of pre-recorded and online lectures, online guest lectures, reading materials, and scientific articles. The course is assessed through 3 mandatory assignments, mandatory seminars, and active participation in discussions forum and workshops. Teaching language: lectures and materials can be in English, but the physical meetings will be held in Swedish. Entry requirementsThe basic eligibility for this course is a bachelor’s degree. Candidates with corresponding work experience are also invited to apply. Two years of relevant work experience is considered equivalent to one year of university studies at bachelor level. The course is free and gives 3 ECTS course credits
