COURSE DESCRIPTION

Please note that this course is taught in Swedish.

The Earth's climate is changing, but can we change our behavior? To create a sustainable future, we need to understand the psychological mechanisms that influence our choices, habits, and attitudes. This course provides you with tools to design effective interventions based on factors such as social norms, economic incentives, and communication.

Human behavior is complex. Although we are often aware of which behaviors have a negative impact on the climate, they are difficult to change. The course is therefore based on environmental psychology theories and behavioral design to help you analyze, understand, and influence behaviors related to consumption, energy, and other environmentally impactful actions.

The course is also offered in a longer format as a credit-giving, freestanding course (also taught in Swedish): Environmental psychology and behavior analysis 4 credits
